About Me
My name is Harvey Barnes and I am a professionally trained and
experienced Funeral Minister
based in Plymouth, Devon. Having been ordained several years ago, I now
work independently. I conduct funeral services at the
crematorium and cemetery chapels in the Plymouth area and I seek to do so in a caring and
compassionate manner. I am also available
to officiate at interment of ashes and graveside services.
I have a good working relationship with all the local funeral directors.
If you'd like me to take a service, please
ask your funeral director to contact me. I will
then telephone you and arrange a convenient day and time to meet with family
members or executors so I can gather information to make the service a personal one. If you are not
living locally, or if you would prefer, I can discuss your wishes over the
phone and also communicate via email.

3. Advise and support family or close friends who wish to participate in the service.
4. Help with choosing hymns and/or special pieces of music.
5. Talk about readings and poems for the service.
6. Speak about prayers and a time of quiet reflection during the service.
7. Discuss the layout of an Order of Service if required.
